About
Welcome to Wok And Rolls Marseille, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Marseille at 13 Rue Crudère. This Japanese culinary haven offers a delightful twist on traditional dishes, blending authentic flavors with a welcoming atmosphere. As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I had the pleasure of dining here, and I was eager to share my experience.
Wok And Rolls Marseille features an inviting ambiance, perfect for casual dining. With a small yet lively setting, the restaurant’s intimate vibe allows for personal service, which I found to be exceptionally friendly and attentive. As many patrons have noted, the care that goes into each dish is palpable.
The menu is a tantalizing journey through Japanese cuisine, beginning with scrumptious appetizers like the Agedashi Tofu, elegantly presented in a flavorful tentsuyu broth, or the Tempura de Crevettes & Légumes, boasting a light and crisp coating that holds flavorful morsels within. The Nids Farcis aux Crevettes & Porc is another standout, offering a perfectly balanced texture that is both crunchy and juicy.
For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert offerings are equally impressive. The Glace Tempura serves mouth-watering profiteroles that are crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside, while the Mochi Glacé showcases delightful flavors like matcha and yuzu, making for the perfect light end to your meal.
Customer experiences echo my sentiments. Sreekanth Dasari described it as a “very typical Japanese resto” with good food and service. Guido de Wilde raved about the gyoza and innovative sushi rolls, while Sian Gray affirmed the excellence of every dish they tried. The positive feedback isn't surprising given the restaurant's dedication to quality and flavor.
In summary, Wok And Rolls Marseille is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore Japanese cuisine in a cozy, attentive setting. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by this delightful eatery. Don't forget to reserve a table on weekends, as it’s a popular choice among food enthusiasts wanting to experience the best of what Wok And Rolls has to offer.
“ Very typical japanese resto. Food was good. Service was good. ”
“ I had a fantastic dinner at Wok and Rolls, where every dish was a delight. I started with the most delicious gyoza, perfectly pan-fried with a crispy bottom and a juicy, flavorful filling. For the main course, the chicken katsu, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with just the right amount of sauce. But the real stars of the meal were the two sushi rolls I had, fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Each bite was a perfect balance of texture and taste. The restaurant is small and lively, and the service was superbly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d return to! ”
“ This was absolutely delish. A small restaurant with one server who did an outstanding job. The food was so good; I am sorry I forgot to take photos as it looked as good as it tasted. Everything we tried was incredible. This is well worth a visit when in marseille ”
“ After all the French dishes, we found this a very nice change. Japanese dishes prepared with a lot of love. All very tasty. The restaurant is very small and reservations are recommended on weekends. ”
“ Very nice and friendly service from the owner! The taste very good. Five star from me :) And as he said, this is the best Wok in town! ”
“ My wife and I checked out this place as we were craving for Japanese food. It's a bit of walk from the old port but still in the quite central area. The service was great! As we were debating between sakes, the owner recommended the plum wine and broke the tie lol. The food was extremely authentic, demonstrated by the yummy curry, the Udon was also very traditional, and the tempura that's not oily at all. Highly recommended! ”
“ I would definitely come back. The food was delicious (best Ramen I had in Europe), and I rarely see staff so friendly, attentive, and diligent. Always with a smile in her face, she spent a lot of time helping us decide what to eat. Great experience! ”
